Genealogy & Research

One of the most important missions at the Warriors Remembrance Foundation is our genealogy and research program. We dedicate countless hours to meticulously searching military records, visiting cemeteries, and ensuring that Veterans who are buried without government-issued grave markers are not forgotten. This critical work often takes us to local and municipal cemeteries where many Veterans, despite their service, have been overlooked and left without the proper recognition they deserve.

Veterans who rest in these cemeteries are often buried without the government-issued markers or medallions that acknowledge their service. Over time, these heroes fade into obscurity, and their sacrifices are forgotten by those who walk past their graves. Our mission is to change that. We want every Veteran to receive the recognition they deserve—whether it’s a government-issued grave marker or a medallion—to honor their service and sacrifice.

However, the first and most crucial step in this process is research. We conduct thorough investigations into military records, verifying the service and burial details of each individual we uncover. Without this careful, time-consuming work, thousands—if not millions—of Veterans would remain unrecognized. Our efforts help ensure that these heroes are remembered and given a dignified tribute that honors their contribution to our country.

We invite you to become part of this essential work. By joining our genealogy and research efforts, you can help identify Veterans buried in local cemeteries who may not yet have a marker. Your role as a volunteer researcher can help us uncover the stories of these forgotten heroes and bring them the recognition they deserve.

If you have an interest in genealogy or a passion for honoring those who have served, we encourage you to volunteer with us. Together, we can make a difference by ensuring that no Veteran is left behind and that all are given the recognition they have earned. Sign up today and help us honor the service of our nation's heroes.
