Herbert Joseph "Herb" Syring led a life filled with diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to his community and family. Born on January 21, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, Herb's journey unfolded across different chapters and locations.

After graduating from high school, Herb served his country as a Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he embarked on a career dedicated to public service, working for the City of New Braunfels Fire Department, E.M.C., and serving as a Comal County Deputy Sheriff.

In 1993, Herb made a significant move to Nebraska, where he continued his professional journey, working for Cargill and establishing his own business as a DJ. Throughout his career, Herb's passion for serving others and his community remained steadfast.

Herb's greatest joy was his family. He shared forty-six years of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara Bishop Syring. Together, they raised their children, Kevin Syring, Sr., and Dawn Syring Filbert, instilling in them values of love, resilience, and compassion.

Herb leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. While he may have departed from this world on June 15, 2016, his memory and impact will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
