Major Orrin Joseph Dahlman's life was one marked by courage, dedication, and service to his country. Born on August 12, 1916, in Edgerton, WI, he embarked on a remarkable journey that spanned decades.

After answering the call to duty, Major Dahlman served his country with honor and distinction, beginning with his service in World War II and extending through his tenure in the National Guard of Wisconsin. He also served as an ROTC Instructor at Central High School in San Antonio, TX, in 1950, imparting his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of leaders.

Throughout his 43-year career in the United States Army and Civil Service, Major Dahlman rose through the ranks, achieving the distinguished rank of Major. His service took him through various divisions, from Troop G 5th Cavalry Division to the Armor Division, where he made invaluable contributions to his country.

Major Dahlman's bravery and commitment were recognized with numerous accolades, including the Bronze Star for Valor, Silver Star, Purple Heart, WWII 'V' Medal, and Gilder Badge. His legacy of courage and sacrifice will forever be remembered by those who knew him.

In addition to his remarkable military career, Major Dahlman was a beloved husband to his wife, Iva Jean Dahlman, and a cherished stepfather to Michael Vallery, Sr., and his wife, Sandra. He was also a proud grandfather to grandsons Michael, Dale, and Richard, and leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion.
