Martin L. Hernandez's life was a tapestry woven with love, service, and a passion for life's simple pleasures. Born on March 6, 1965, in San Antonio, Martin's journey was one marked by a deep sense of camaraderie and adventure.

From a young age, Martin felt a calling to serve his country, leading him to enlist in the US Army, where he proudly served as a soldier. His time in the military instilled in him values of honor, duty, and loyalty that would shape his character for years to come.

Throughout his life, Martin found solace and joy in the great outdoors, indulging in hobbies such as fishing, hunting, and avidly supporting his favorite Texas sports teams, the Gig Em Aggies and the Houston Astros. As time passed, his appreciation for life's simple pleasures grew, and he found immense happiness in the company of loved ones, a good Texas beer, and a fine cigar.

Martin's genuine spirit and kind heart endeared him to all who knew him. He was quick to lend a helping hand, generously sharing his time, knowledge, and love with those around him. His warm embrace and caring demeanor had a soothing effect, bringing comfort and solace to those in need.

Martin's legacy of love and compassion lives on in the hearts of his beloved family, including his wife, Rachel Martino, his daughter, Brittney R. Hernandez, and son-in-law, Luke Cabreros. He is also survived by his father, Patrick Bailey, his siblings, Gina, Roger, Angie, Patricia, Jonathan, and Jennifer, and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly.

Though Martin bid farewell to this world on July 22, 2018, his memory remains etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the love, laughter, and joy he brought into the lives of those around him.
