Juan Jose Moreno, Sr., was born on April 2, 1933, in Valparaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Epifanio and Rosa Moreno. On April 24, 1954, he married Maria de Jesus Valenzuela. Together, they raised a large and loving family.

Juan's journey to the United States in 1951 marked the beginning of a new chapter, driven by his determination to provide a better life for his family. Despite facing challenges and having limited education, Juan exemplified the virtues of hard work and resilience.

Settling in Bulverde, Texas, Juan pursued various occupations, from harvesting fields to working in construction and ranching. He even established his own fence-building company, all with the singular goal of ensuring the well-being of his family.

Alongside his wife, Juan instilled in his children the values of faith, education, and diligence. He cherished moments spent with his family and friends, finding joy in their happiness and accomplishments.

Juan had a diverse range of interests, from enjoying mariachi and country music to indulging in fishing, hunting, gardening, and hand-carving rustic wooden bowls. Yet, his greatest pride lay in the successes of his children, who pursued diverse careers and paths in life.

Juan Moreno, Sr., leaves behind a profound legacy of love, hard work, and family. His memory will be cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and a community touched by his enduring spirit.
