Christopher J. Parra's life was a testament to service, dedication, and a deep commitment to his community. Born on November 13, 1984, at Lackland AFB, TX, to parents Fernando Parra and Valeri (Parra) Escobedo, he embarked on a journey marked by integrity and sacrifice.

From a young age, Christopher demonstrated a servant's heart, devoting countless hours to community service during his high school years. Following his graduation from Judson High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an Infantryman and Arabic Linguist for nine years. Christopher completed three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, earning the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge in 2014. His military service left a lasting legacy of mentorship and sacrifice.

Upon returning home to Converse, TX, Christopher pursued a career in law enforcement, attending the AACOG Law Enforcement Academy. In July 2015, he joined the Comal County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol officer, later rising to the position of Detective in the fall of 2019. Known for his professionalism and kindness, Christopher was deeply respected by both the citizens he served and his fellow deputies. His dedication to training new officers and continuing his education exemplified his commitment to excellence. In December 2020, he proudly graduated from San Antonio College with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Christopher found joy in beekeeping, amateur radio operation (W5DTP), and teaching faith formation at his church. He cherished spending time with his beloved wife, Carrie, and their children, Christopher, Caeli, Caleb, Catherine, and Conrad (CJ), sharing root beer and creating cherished memories together. His love for his family, faith, and his ability to inspire and teach will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
