Julius "Dude" Raymond Strauch led a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and faith. Born on January 29, 1924, in San Antonio, Dude's journey was defined by his unwavering devotion to those he held dear.

Growing up in San Antonio, Dude was surrounded by the love of his parents, Philip and Lena Strauch, and his siblings, Phil, Otto, Bertha, and Opal. Despite the inevitable challenges of life, Dude remained steadfast in his faith and commitment to his family.

In 1944, Dude embarked on a lifelong journey of love and partnership when he married his beloved wife, Edith M. Strauch. Together, they shared 73 years of marriage, filled with laughter, joy, and cherished memories.

As a devoted husband and father, Dude found immense pride and joy in his family. He was the loving father of five children: Ray, Cindy, Lindy, Roger, and Tom. His legacy extended beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of his 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness and pride.

Dude was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where his commitment to his faith shone brightly. His life was a testament to the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity, serving as a shining example of the fruits of his spirit.

While Dude may have bid farewell to this world on August 16, 2017, his memory lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered fondly for his unwavering love, his infectious laughter, and his profound impact on those around him.
