Derek Sandhoefner, a Nebraska native, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after graduating high school and served for 24 years in the intelligence field. His career included assignments in California, Washington, D.C., Texas, as well as deployments to South America, the Middle East, and South Central Asia.

Since retiring, Derek has transitioned to work as a Performance Coach with Check-6, where he applies his leadership and training expertise. He is also dedicated to community service, volunteering with the Smithson Valley High School Band.

Derek's extensive military background and commitment to helping others through coaching and volunteerism bring a unique set of skills and experiences to the board.
